Museum Hours

December Hours: Open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Last ticket sold at 3:15 p.m.

Special Hours: Open Monday December 23 and Monday December 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Presidential Summers: The Kennedys on Cape Cod
For JFK weekends on Cape Cod meant renewal, inspiration and fun family times. See archival video, special family images, fascinating artifacts and more at this new long-term exhibit. Exhibit Highlights: Kennedy Compound, To Wake as President, Sailing the Victura and more.

John F. Kennedy’s Rocking Chair, ca. 1962
This exhibit has been extended to December 2024: The museum is honored to exhibit one of President Kennedy’s iconic rocking chairs during the renovation of The Towers of the Waldorf Astoria in New York City. In 1962 President Kennedy gave this authentic Kennedy Rocker to the Waldorf Astoria to find its pride of place in the presidential suite.

RFK: Ripple of Hope:
The return of a special exhibit to commemorate the life and legacy of Robert Kennedy. The exhibit begins with RFK’s early years in the Kennedy family, including rarely seen images of his time on Cape Cod, 45 images and excerpts from RFK’s speeches, and an eight-minute video narrated by Kathleen Kennedy and former Congressman Joe Kennedy III.

JOHN F. KENNEDY HYANNIS MUSEUM ANNOUNCES 2024 SCHOLARSHIP AVAILABILITY

January 9, 2024 (Hyannis, MA) –  The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum has announced its 2024 scholarship program for Cape and Islands residents who are high school seniors. Seniors who are pursuing undergraduate education at an accredited institution may participate by submitting an essay and application by March 29, 2024.

Full details can be found here.  The essay portion of the application is to focus on this quote from President Kennedy’s inaugural speech given in Dublin, Ireland on June 28, 1963:

“The supreme reality of our time is the vulnerability of our planet.”

JFK Hyannis Museum Names New Officers for 2024

HYANNIS, MA (January 04, 2024) – The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum has elected new officers for the 2024 year at its annual meeting held in December.

Paul Hart Miller, a resident of Monument Beach, has been elected as board chair. Miller is Administrative Director of Business Development & Network Operations for the Department of Medicine/Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.  Miller is an active volunteer with the JFK Presidential Library and Museum New Frontier Network and the 1787 Society of the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the U.S. Senate. He is

JFK Hyannis Museum Bestows Leadership Award Upon Dorothy A. Saverese.

The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum Foundation has announced that Dorothy A. Savarese, retired CEO of Cape Cod Five has received the 2023 JFK Hyannis Museum Founders Community Leadership Award.

Created in 2015 to recognize outstanding examples of leadership in the inspiration of others, in the advancement of the civic and economic well-being of Cape Cod, the award will be conferred upon Savarese at a reception at the JFK Hyannis Museum on Thursday, October 19, 2023.

Thank You MCC & Cape Cod Legislators!

The JFK Hyannis Museum has received a grant of $2,500 from the Mass Cultural Council through its Projects Program. Specifically, the grant will support a program begun last year and returning in 2023, called Walks with a Purpose.

We are grateful that funds for the Projects Program was made possible through the support of the state legislature.
