February is Film Festival Month at the Museum!

Join us at 2:00PM on February 24th in the Scudder Family Center for Civic Engagement for a screening of the film “JOURNEYS IN THE LIGHT, Democracy, Diversity, and Myth in the Wake of the Mayflower“.

This documentary looks beyond the Euro-centric Mayflower story to present highlights in the history of the African American, Cape Verdean, and Wampanoag people on Cape Cod since the arrival of the English settlers in 1620. The one-hour documentary—produced by filmmaker Janet Murphy Robertson of ArtistsAndMusicians.org in collaboration with the Zion Union Heritage Museum —features important Cape Cod artists including Robin Joyce Miller, Carl Lopes, Pamela Chatterton-Purdy, Joe Diggs, Michael Alfano, Sean Cassidy, Vasco Pires, and others.

TALK-BACK SESSION: Representatives of the museum and the NAACP and the producer will follow the one-hour film.

Seating limited to 55 people per show. Free Admission.
