Life, work, and impact:

  • She greatly enjoyed her time in England during her father’s time as the Ambassador, receiving positive press as the debutante of a famous family and enrolling in a Montessori program that she found more fulfilling than other schools. Upon return to America, her life returned to a similar instability for her as before, switching school programs often and given less freedom than her siblings
  • Rosemary’s disability, complicated by an unsuccessful surgery, institutionalized her for life with limited capacity for speech and walking, but inspired her family to efforts for the disabled which helped millions.
  • Throughout her life, Rosemary regularly visited the family in Hyannis Port, including a visit to the John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum
