Featuring 19 original works by legendary Cape Cod artists, “From Here to There” will run through January 2025 in The Scudder Family Center for Civic Engagement at the JFK Hyannis Museum.
In a collaborative exhibition, the Cape Cod Museum of Art (CCMOA) docents were asked to select artworks from the permanent collection of over 2000 pieces of art on a unifying theme of travel and adventure. The exhibit is named From Here to There. Corresponding wall text for each artwork was researched and authored by the docents.
The JFK Hyannis Museum is honored to serve as a venue for CCMOA to share 19 of the artworks showcased in the exhibition From Here to There, which will be on view through January 2025 at the Hyannis museum.
President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy worked to make the arts part of their life in the White House and at home. Both dabbled in painting during their days in Hyannis Port. Both loved books, music, and architecture. And as President, JFK created the position of Special Consultant on the Arts, to include artistic dimension in areas where public policy could benefit from it, such as in the design of public buildings.
The JFK Hyannis Museum is excited to share these works from world-class artists who also called Cape Cod home.
