Schaumburg Township District (Illinois) Library Program featuring JFK Hyannis Museum Director Wendy Northcross speaking on “President Kennedy’s Legacy on Cape Cod.”

The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum shares stories of President Kennedy and his family and their deep connection to Cape Cod. Hyannis Port was considered the true “heart and home” of the Kennedy family, then and now. Learn how the Kennedy hometown continues to see the impact of the 35th president’s public service and that of his large family.

Join museum co-founder and current executive director Wendy Northcross on a journey through time – beginning in the 1920’s when Ambassador Joseph P. Kennedy and his wife Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy selected a small, seaside village for their growing family’s vacations, to current-day Cape Cod that greets visitors from around the globe to realize part of the Kennedy legacy.

This program will take place online on Zoom. After registering, you will receive a link to the Zoom webinar at least three hours in advance of the program. If the event is full, or if you prefer, you can watch the live stream on YouTube.com/@SchaumLib.
