About The Exhibit
In this collaborative exhibition, CCMoA docents curated selections from the museum’s permanent collection of over 2,000 artworks, focusing on a unifying theme of travel and adventure. They also researched and authored corresponding wall text for each piece, adding depth to the storytelling.
The JFK Hyannis Museum is proud to host 19 of these artworks from From Here to There.
President John F. Kennedy and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy had a deep appreciation for the arts, incorporating them into their lives at the White House and in Hyannis Port. Both explored painting as a hobby and shared a love of books, music, and architecture. As President, JFK established the position of Special Consultant on the Arts, underscoring his belief in the importance of art in shaping public policy and enhancing public spaces.
