HYANNIS, MA — October 17, 2025 — The John F. Kennedy Hyannis Museum announced the recent appointment of Margaret (Peggy) Jablonski, a distinguished educator, consultant, and leadership coach, to its board of directors. Jablonski brings extensive experience in higher education, leadership development, and historical scholarship to the museum’s leadership team.
“Peggy is a valuable asset to our board, and we are delighted to welcome her,” said Wendy Northcross, Executive Director of the JFK Hyannis Museum. “Her deep understanding of leadership, coupled with her passion for Cape Cod’s history and civic education, will be a tremendous benefit as we work to share President Kennedy’s legacy with a new generation.”
Jablonski is already a known figure within the museum community. She is the researcher and curator behind the JFK Hyannis Museum’s “Walks with a Purpose” program, which guides participants through historically significant sites on Cape Cod. Her exploration of the Cape’s history, known as “The Cape Cod Camino Way,” has provided a deeper understanding of the region’s historical and social context.
“I am excited to join the board of the JFK Hyannis Museum, an organization that I have long admired,” Jablonski said. “The museum serves a vital role in preserving the Kennedy family’s legacy on Cape Cod and fostering civic engagement. I look forward to working with the board and staff to further the museum’s mission.”
Jablonski’s professional background includes a long and successful career in higher education, with senior administrative positions in student affairs at institutions including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Brown University, and the University of Connecticut. She has also held faculty positions at several universities, teaching courses on leadership, policy, and women’s issues.
Jablonski holds a doctorate and is a certified coach. Through her consulting work, she guides and mentors leaders in creating innovative and talent-focused organizations.
