We the People, a Foundational Understanding of American Government” a non-partisan, four-part lecture series on understanding the U.S. Constitution and the three branches of American government as created by the founding fathers. Designed as a civics refresher course it will be offered Roger Desrosiers, President of the Massachusetts Center for Civic Education (MACCE) and Massachusetts State Coordinator for We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution.
Museum Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Sessions run 6:30 – 8 PM
Dates for the four-part series are 6/9, 6/16, 6/24, and 6/30
Each session is limited to 60 attendees

Lectures followed by Q&A:
I. Civic Virtue (June 9th) 6:30PM
the role of the people in government as the framers envisioned it.
II. Civic Principles (June 16th) 6:30PM
the Constitution and the Bill of Rights
III. Institutions of Government (June 24th) 6:30PM
Legislative, Executive, Judicial branches of government
IV. Historical Evolution (June 30th) 6:30PM
then and now and how we got here.
Location: The Scudder Family Center for Civic Engagement – 2nd floor – JFK Hyannis Museum, 397 Main Street, Hyannis.
Cost: $10 per session or $35 for all four sessions.
Limited to 60 guests per session.
