On August 29th at a reception for guests of the John F Kennedy Hyannis Museum Foundation which was  hosted at the home of Ted and Kiki Kennedy, the Foundation announced that a Fund will be established to provide for investment in collection expansion/renovation as well as artifact acquisition.

Foundation Trustee Dick Neitz and Museum Executive Director John Allen reported that it is the Foundation’s  goal to raise $100,000 for this Collection Fund over the next twelve months. A total of $24,000 for this Fund was raised at the reception, this included  $10,000 was given anonymously of which $5,000 will be used to update and replace the Kennedy Family Tree exhibit. It is important to begin to have new exhibit as well as upgraded exhibits and artifacts items in the museum in 2014 to begin to reflect the vibrancy and expansion of the Museum’s exhibit area.
